Álvaro, co-founder and Partner of Kinship, has developed his professional career in various leading international law firms.
He has achieved relevant international recognition, having been appointed officer of the IBA, thanks to his focus on technical excellence and a 360-degree comprehensive approach to transactions.
Álvaro specialises in advising families and high net worth individuals with interests in Spain both in tax and civil matters, including family law, inheritance law and private international law.
Álvaro has been recognised by Chambers & Partners as a Band 3 Private Wealth lawyer. He has also been recognized in the Rising Leaders category by Private Client Global Elite 2023.
Alvaro is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian.

- Advising an American and Irish businessman residing in Spain, founder of a multinational group valued at USD 1 billion owned by the founder himself and two US trusts, on the reorganisation of his wealth and on inheritance and family matters.
- Assistance to the family office of a Forbes top 50 Spanish family on a capital gains tax and gift tax audit in relation to the transfer of shares in the supra-holding of the family group to the next generation.
- Advice to a UHNWI, a British national resident in Switzerland, settlor of various British trusts, on its future relocation to Spain, including the analysis of the transactions necessary to improve its tax position in Spain and to ensure an appropriate succession framework to the next generation.
- Advising UHNWI resident in Spain on the design of the ownership structure for the purchase of a hotel in Southern Spain and assisting in the negotiation of the transaction.
